Golomt Bank has successfully localized international digital wallets in recent years, aiming to provide more convenient and advanced payment solutions that fit into customers’ everyday lives and payment habits. As part of this effort, we are proud to become the first bank to introduce Samsung Pay in Mongolia, offering not only local citizens and customers but also international travelers a more convenient and seamless way to make payments.
Through the strategic partnership between Samsung Electronics and Golomt Bank, customers of Golomt Bank can now use their Samsung smartphones and Galaxy watches to make secure and convenient daily payments and purchases using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. In other words, Samsung smartphone users can make payments within seconds at any NFC-enabled POS terminal and online merchant.
There are approximately 800,000 Samsung smartphone users in Mongolia.
Currently, only Golomt Bank’s Visa and UnionPay cards can be added to Samsung Pay. Customers can connect their cards through the SocialPay application by following the instructions below.
If you do not have a Visa or UnionPay card yet, you can easily activate a virtual credit or debit card in the SocialPay application and then add it to Samsung Pay.
You can also order physical Visa and UnionPay cards through www.cards.mn or at your nearest Golomt Bank branch.
