Golomt Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chingeltei District Governor’s Office and Eco Square Energy Distributions LLC to continue their collaboration on reducing air pollution and promoting energy-efficient, environmentally friendly solutions.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, Golomt Bank successfully implemented a project in 2025 in partnership with the Chingeltei District Governor’s Office and Eco Square Energy Distributions LLC to install air-to-air heat pumps in 300 households in the ger area, contributing to the reduction of air pollution. To build on this successful public-private partnership and launch the next phase of the project, the parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding during the 17th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).
Under the MoU, the parties will work together to reduce air pollution within Chingeltei District, improve household energy efficiency, and gradually decrease reliance on coal and other solid-fuel-based heating systems. The cooperation will also focus on expanding the adoption of heat pumps and other advanced environmentally friendly technologies.
By supporting this initiative, Golomt Bank contributes directly to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 13: Climate Action. In addition to generating positive environmental impact, the project helps optimize household energy costs and improve residents’ living conditions.
Furthermore, Golomt Bank offers its “Green Household” and “Green Micro Business” loan products to support households and microbusinesses in adopting energy-efficient products and technologies, while contributing to the reduction of air and soil pollution in ger area communities.
