Golomt Bank has entered into a partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to expand its micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), strengthen financial inclusion, and fund projects that promote energy efficiency, wastewater management, and sustainable agriculture.
As part of this collaboration, the Bank will also introduce low-interest loan products for individuals aimed at promoting energy efficiency. This initiative is expected to significantly improve access to financing support by offering practical and affordable solutions to customers. The loan product will support the adoption of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient technologies, including solar energy systems and air-source heat pumps, by providing loans at affordable interest rates. It will particularly benefit households in ger districts and those living in detached housing by expanding their access to financing.
This new partnership with ADB is expected to play a pivotal role in accelerating Golomt Bank’s sustainable finance strategy, supporting its target to increase the share of green loans to 10% of its total loan portfolio by 2030. The partnership provides both strong momentum and tangible resources to help achieve this goal. As of 2025, the Bank’s green loans accounted for 4.9% of the total loan portfolio, representing 17.4% of the market share in this segment.
