Golomt Bank has started supporting the “National AI campaign”, an initiative led by AI Academy Asia and being implemented nationwide from 2025 to 2030. Over the five-year period, the campaign aims to enhance the capacity of general education school teachers across Mongolia and cultivate a talent pool of 2,500 AI specialists.
Now in its second year, the 2026 phase of the campaign is being implemented with the support of Golomt Bank under the “AI Skills Coalition” of the International Telecommunication Union. The official launch event was held on February 28.
For the AI Teacher Training Program, a total of 3,998 teachers from 21 provinces, 330 soums, and the districts of the capital city submitted applications. From this pool, 500 teachers were selected to participate in a three-month AI training program. The program is designed to strengthen teachers’ foundational understanding of artificial intelligence and promote its responsible and ethical use. It also seeks to enhance the quality of education and reinforce teachers’ professional capacity by equipping them with the skills to effectively integrate AI tools into lesson delivery, assessment, and content development. Upon completion of the program, participating teachers will develop AI-based projects and share their outcomes.
Furthermore, by empowering teachers with AI knowledge and practical skills, the initiative aims to reach more than 10,000 students in rural and local communities this year. Through this effort, students will gain foundational AI literacy and develop future-ready competencies, enabling them to confidently participate in a technology-driven economy.
In 2025, under the framework of the “National AI campaign,” Golomt Bank supported the “AI for Women 100×100” program, providing 100 female teachers and 100 female students from general education schools with the opportunity to study artificial intelligence. This year, in addition to fully supporting the implementation of the campaign, Golomt Bank will expand the program’s scope by integrating financial literacy education for teachers and subsequently extending it to students as well.
