Golomt Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mongolian Green Building Council

On September 16, 2025, Golomt Bank’s CEO Mr. A. Odonbaatar and Mrs. Ts. Batgerel, CEO of the Mongolian Green Building Council, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Under this MoU, Golomt Bank will recognize the National Green Building BestGER Certification issued by the Mongolian Green Building Council as part of its green loan eligibility criteria. Upon obtaining the BestGER certification, Golomt Bank clients both businesses and individuals become eligible for preferential green financing. This initiative contributes to expanding access to environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient housing and buildings.

The certification is granted in accordance with the “Green Building Evaluation (BestGER) Methodology” and the “Procedure for Issuing Green Building Certification,” both of which are officially approved by the Minister to the Urban Development, Construction and Housing. This certification represents the first nationally recognized green building assessment in Mongolia.

BestGER Certification – Mongolia’s Green Building Rating System

  • Promote sustainable construction practices
  • Enhance resilience of buildings to fire, flooding, and climate change
  • Reduce environmental impact of buildings
  • Improve indoor air quality and surrounding conditions
  • Conserve energy and water usage
  • Lower operational costs of real estate
