Golomt Bank initiated the “Genesis of Heritage and Culture" historical and archeological project and started its implementation in cooperation with the Institute of Archeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) in 2022.
Due to shortage in funding, the Institute of Archeology of the MAS usually has been carrying out excavations and research works in cooperation with foreign organizations, but now, the Mongolian private sector joined the forces, and Golomt Bank became the first investor in this field. Within the scope of the project, the archaeological excavation and research conducted at the historical monuments “Tuulyn Khar Tune Ord”, “Anthropomorphic stone statue at Inget Tolgoi”, “Burial site from the period of the Mongol Empire”, and “Ruins of Khar Khul Khan”. The archaeological excavation and research conducted at the Inget Tolgoi heritage site under the “The Genesis of Heritage and Culture” project was named “Best Research of the Year” in 2025. The project has conducted excavations and research at several archaeological sites, resulting in the discovery of more than 3,000 artifacts of historical and scientific significance in Mongolia. We will continue to make sustained contributions to the study, preservation, and international promotion of Mongolia’s cultural heritage in the years to come.
Since signing an MOU in 2020, Golomt Bank has been an official partner of the “Heart Never Forgets” project, implemented through its “Altantulkhuur” Children’s Foundation, consistently providing both financial and other forms of support.
The project team has conducted three nationwide outreach tours across Mongolia, providing free medical examinations and diagnostic services to approximately 54,600 children, and delivering life-saving treatment to more than 1,580 of them. In addition, the “Heart Never Forgets” project has extended its support beyond Mongolia, offering medical examinations and treatment to children in need from other countries, including Tuva 3, Kyrgyzstan 30, Afghanistan 3, and Bhutan 8. During the “Gold Forum” event organized by Golomt Bank for leaders in the mining industry, a one-ounce gold medallion with a purity of 999 is auctioned, with the proceeds donated to the “Heart Never Forgets” project. To date, this initiative has helped give 35 children a new chance at life.
To contribute to the country’s sustainable development, support education, and provide financial and employment opportunities for young students, Golomt Bank launched the “Student Scholarship Program” in 2003 as part of its corporate social responsibility, becoming the first in the business sector to do so. Over the years, more than 2,000 students, regardless of their major, have received scholarships from over 50 universities and colleges across Mongolia.
Starting from 2024, the amount has been increased to MNT 2,000,000, expanding students’ access to meaningful financial support. In addition, to further support student employment, Golomt Bank has created opportunities for scholarship recipients to begin working at the bank, either on a full-time or part-time basis. As a Golomt Bank scholarship recipient, students benefit from a wide range of opportunities, including participation in the Golomt Academy’s personal development and professional training programs, health initiatives, and close collaboration with experienced mentors and coaching managers throughout their studies.
Golomt Bank has started supporting the “National AI campaign”, an initiative led by AI Academy Asia and being implemented nationwide from 2025 to 2030. Over the five-year period, the campaign aims to enhance the capacity of general education school teachers across Mongolia and cultivate a talent pool of 2,500 AI specialists.
For the AI Teacher Training Program, a total of 3,998 teachers from 21 provinces, 330 soums, and the districts of the capital city submitted applications. From this pool, 500 teachers were selected to participate in a three-month AI training program. The program is designed to strengthen teachers’ foundational understanding of artificial intelligence and promote its responsible and ethical use. It also seeks to enhance the quality of education and reinforce teachers’ professional capacity by equipping them with the skills to effectively integrate AI tools into lesson delivery, assessment, and content development. Upon completion of the program, participating teachers will develop AI-based projects and share their outcomes.
Furthermore, by empowering teachers with AI knowledge and practical skills, the initiative aims to reach more than 10,000 students in rural and local communities this year. Through this effort, students will gain foundational AI literacy and develop future-ready competencies, enabling them to confidently participate in a technology-driven economy.
