Golomt Bank Participates in the ADB Annual Meeting in Samarkand

The 59th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), held under the theme “Crossroads of Progress,” took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from 3 to 6 May 2026. The event brought together over 3,000 delegates from 69 countries, including policymakers, development partners, and senior banking and financial sector officials. Golomt Bank was represented by its senior management and took part in high-level discussions at the ADB Annual Meeting, which focused on strengthening regional cooperation and resilience.

As part of the program, Mr.Odonbaatar, Chief Executive Officer of Golomt Bank, attended the Private Sector CEOs Forum on 5 May, a key session selected for its relevance to private sector leadership. The forum was organized under “Driving Integration through Connectivity and Digital Transformation: The Private Sector Imperative” theme and explored how private sector innovation and leadership can enhance connectivity, strengthen regional cooperation, and promote sustainable and inclusive growth across Asia and the Pacific. During the discussions, Mr. Odonbaatar emphasized the significant role of ADB in supporting private sector development in Mongolia, particularly in advancing inclusive finance initiatives that contribute to economic resilience and broad-based growth.

As Mongolia’s second-largest commercial bank, Golomt Bank is an active participant in the inclusive finance sector. In recognition of its efforts, the bank was recently awarded “Best Sustainable Finance (ToC) Bank of 2025” by the regulator. Golomt Bank first joined ADB’s Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program (TSCFP) in 2010 and renewed its active participation in February 2024 to support the growing trade finance needs of its clients.
